Group Variable Universal Life (GVUL) issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America, has introduced new rates available to members in good health ages 50-79 with at least $250,000 in GVUL coverage. The new GVUL Preferred rates offer significant reductions in the cost of coverage - 20-69% lower than previous rates. As of June 21, 2007, preferred rates are available in the following states or jurisdictions: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, PR, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY.

Preferred Status rates are not currently available in Florida.

In addition to good health, your driving record and tobacco use, family health history and certain avocations are also factors. Eligible members who can provide satisfactory evidence of insurability to Prudential - including a physical exam - are encouraged to apply for the new Preferred rate. Even with these new low rates, GVUL will continue to offer the same great coverage options, including coverage to age 100 (20 years longer than CPA Life Insurance), and variable investment options and a tax-deferred fixed account with an annual return of 5% as of October 2006.
