The CPA and Spouse Life Insurance Plan changes in a nutshell

Meeting the insurance needs of members and their loved ones is important to us. As a result, there are some updates to the CPA and Spouse Life Plans that we want you to know about.

The AICPA Insurance Trust is always evolving to meet the insurance needs of members and their loved ones. Your peers sit on the Trust’s Committee and follow an extensive process that involves helping to make sure Plans are developed with your unique needs in mind, are valuable, and are as affordable as you may expect them to be. As a result, there are some modifications to the CPA and Spouse Life Plans that we want you to know about.
 
As of November 1, 2022 if you have a CPA Life and/or Spouse Plan, there are some changes that may impact your coverage when you apply for an increase in coverage, add Waiver, apply for a new rate class, or look for a lower rate. If approved, some Plan details will differ. While there’s a good chance you may receive a lower rate, there are some changes to consider.

If there have been changes in your life, such as an increase in your income or added financial responsibilities like a bigger mortgage, take some time to assess your needs, review your existing AICPA-endorsed Life Plan details and if you find you may need additional coverage; apply for an increase in your coverage amount.
